| The methods available in Evince are based on extensive chemometric research performed during the last decades. These methods are well established in the literature where multivariate data analysis techniques such as Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and Partial Least Squares Regression (PLS) are widely accepted for solving problems with large amounts of variables. | The PCA and PLS modelling is the basis for the functionality of Evince, where additional methodology, e.g. image analysis and QSAR, is introduced for creating an extensive analysis platform. New functionality can easily be introduced due to the efficient module-based design of Evince. Please see the further reading section for references to some important works within chemometric research! |
